How To: Granting Namely Third Party Access on the Philadelphia Tax Center Website

DISCLAIMER: as of Q1 2022, all businesses are required to electronically file their quarterly tax returns for Philadelphia Wage Withholding Tax. If Namely doesn’t have Third Party Access, we cannot comply with the e-file mandate. Any Agency-issued penalties & interest, and Namely-issued back filing fees, related to not providing Namely TPA will be your company’s responsibility.

1. The first step involves understanding where your company is at with the tax account registration process, and the website account setup:

If this is the first time you’re logging into the Philadelphia Tax Center as a new (unregistered/”APPLIED FOR”) Philadelphia taxpayer, then follow these instructions: New Business w/ No Online Account If this is the first time you’re logging into the Philadelphia Tax Center as an existing (registered) Philadelphia taxpayer, then follow these instructions: Existing Business w/ No Online Account If you’re having issues with logging into a previously created PTC website account, utilize the “Forgot username or password?” function.

***NOTE: Namely action is required before completing the rest of this authorization. Once you’ve confirmed your business is registered, and you have a PTC website account, open a case within the Help Community, or let us know in an existing case. After Namely is notified, a request to access your taxpayer account will be submitted.***

2. After Namely requests Third Party Access, your company will have two options for approving Namely’s TPA:

a. Login to your PTC website account, review the TPA request, and approve the request. Once you approve the access request, please let Namely know.

b. The Agency will send you a document (by mail, or by electronic communication, depending on how you setup your correspondence settings), which includes a “Letter ID Request from Neil Friedman”. Once you receive this document, send Namely the “Letter ID” exactly as it appears on the document. If you’re having issues retrieving the “Letter ID”, you can contact the City of Philadelphia Department of Revenue directly at (215) 686-6600.

3. Based on the information provided to Namely in Step 2, we’ll verify the taxpayer's access.

4. Once your company’s taxpayer access is verified, or if there’s any issues with the verification, Namely will let you know.

As long as this Step 4 ends with Namely letting you know the TPA is verified, you’re all set! Thanks for your cooperation on this matter.
